Amidst the sh*t of 2016, I was fortunate to be able to constantly reaffirm my faith in humanity
through my beautiful clients and their weddings.
They got married in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
They got married in New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island, too.
They made their own decisions about what traditions to keep, and which to jettison.
They invited their best friends, their families, their pets, their mentors, their coworkers,
and the entire NYC Gay Women's Basketball league.
They danced their faces off.
And most importantly, they celebrated.
They celebrated their partnerships as they continue to grow. They celebrated the people who've supported them all their lives. And they celebrated what it means to love, and be loved.
In uncertain times, I return to this notion again and again. That what we want most is to be brought into relation, within. That nothing matters more to us than this: intimacy. (Mark Doty)
So thank you to my clients for another amazing year of business; I love you all
and am very much looking forward to more fantastic celebrations in 2017.
With love,
Alexis
