Happenings: Maria + Jesus Married in East Chicago, Indiana, on August 31, 2013
I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to meet Maria + Jesus and their lovely daughter, Silvia. Having already been married for 46 years, this young-at-heart couple wanted to have their dream Catholic wedding after their first one at the courthouse years ago. The ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe in East Chicago, IN, was heartfelt and involved the couple's children and grandchildren, and the party continued at the nearby Marina. A little bit of rain didn't stop everyone from having a wonderful time, and the sun ultimately shone brightly for such a momentous occasion, 46 years in the making.
